Microsoft’s decision to halt the rollout of Windows 11 version 24H2 to the Release Preview Channel has left users in limbo.
Despite the lack of public announcements, the pause in the gradual rollout was quietly implemented, sparking curiosity among Windows Insider Program participants.
The absence of clear reasoning behind this move has led to speculation within the community. Some wonder if the decision is linked to the Recall adjustments mentioned earlier by Microsoft.
Brandon LeBlanc from the Windows Insider team remained tight-lipped, offering no further insight into the situation. Windows 11 version 24H2 promises significant enhancements, including HDR wallpaper support, Wi-Fi 7 support, Sudo for Windows, Rust in the Windows Kernel, and other improvements.
The inclusion of Recall, however, is limited to Copilot+ PCs scheduled for launch in the near future. Despite this, users with ARM-powered Windows computers running build 26100.712 can experiment with enabling Recall using a provided tool.
