Tiny11 Now Available for Raspberry Pi: Windows 11 on Older and Less Powerful Machines

Tiny11 is a stripped-down version of Windows 11 that has gained popularity for its ability to run on older and less powerful PCs.

This innovative operating system has now been made available for Raspberry Pi thanks to the efforts of the developer, NTDEV.

We tested the Tiny11 ARM64 installer on a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB of RAM, but 2GB is the minimum requirement for Tiny11, and a processor running at 1.5GHz.

The results were quite impressive, with Tiny11 running smoothly and allowing for apps to be launched. Microsoft Edge was tested, and web pages were able to be browsed. However, it should be noted that the rendering of some elements, such as images, took some time.

We caution against installing Tiny11 on a microSD card due to its slow read and write speeds. Instead, we recommended installing it on a USB flash drive for better performance.

Overall, the ability to run Tiny11 on a Raspberry Pi 4 opens up new possibilities for this miniature computer. It provides an opportunity for those with older or less powerful machines to experience the latest version of Windows 11 without having to upgrade their hardware.
