A migrant who gained millions of views on TikTok while documenting his attempts to reach the UK has now arrived on British soil. In his latest video, he shows himself crossing the English Channel in a small boat crowded with migrants.
The asylum seeker, known as Mada Pasa, has sparked controversy online with videos where he pretends to fire a gun and chronicles his efforts to reach Britain illegally from northern France. In one post, he mimics shooting a weapon with three young women seated on his lap. In another, he is seen in a tent with two companions, one of whom is holding a real gun.
In his recent video, Pasa, wearing a black mask, waterproof jacket, and cap, films himself aboard a dinghy packed with migrants. As he pans the camera around, what appears to be a French patrol vessel is visible following the boat.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Thursday that Pasa was detained after arriving in the UK. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage shared the video on his X account, writing to his 2.1 million followers: “Mada Pasa, the migrant who has threatened to kill me, has now crossed the English Channel. Is this the kind of man we really want in Britain?”
Farage had previously highlighted Pasa’s videos, suggesting he was seeking fame as an influencer. In response, Pasa posted a video addressing Farage directly, warning him not to talk about him and making threatening gestures toward the camera.
By late Thursday, Farage shared a Metropolitan Police statement confirming Pasa’s detention, which read: “The person who goes by the name ‘Madapasa’ has been detained by Immigration Officers and is currently in secure detention under investigation for immigration and criminal offenses.” Farage expressed satisfaction over the news, though criticized the fact that Pasa was seemingly escorted into British waters by French authorities.
Previously based in Stockholm, Pasa has posted more than 60 videos, gathering over 227,000 likes and millions of views in his bid to grow his online presence.
The incident comes amid a record number of small boat arrivals in the UK. Over 30,000 migrants have crossed into Britain by small boat this year, with the Home Office reporting 564 arrivals in just one day. The annual tally has now reached 30,431—an increase of 14% compared to the same period in 2023.
Amid these increasing numbers, Chancellor Rachel Reeves recently announced budget cuts to the Home Office, reducing its spending by 2.7% to £22.2 billion for the next financial year, forecasting “significant savings” on asylum spending despite the ongoing surge in arrivals.
Mada Pasa exemplifies the kind of individual that the UK should be wary of allowing entry, even as a purported asylum seeker. His provocative online persona, characterized by threats and disrespectful antics, raises serious concerns about his intentions and suitability for life in Britain. Despite his questionable behavior, one can’t help but wonder if Keir Starmer’s Labour government has already prepared a new home for him in London, prioritizing such individuals over the genuine needs of those who seek refuge and contribute positively to society. This scenario underscores a troubling trend where those who seek notoriety through controversial means are treated with a level of acceptance that undermines the integrity of the asylum process.
Teenage Boarding School Student Sentenced to Life for Attempted Murders in Brutal Hammer Attack
A 17-year-old student attempted to murder two classmates and a teacher by attacking them with hammers while they slept at Blundell’s School, a prestigious £45,000-a-year boarding institution in Devon.
Thomas Wei Huang, dressed only in boxer shorts, carried out the attack using weapons he had collected in preparation for what he called a “zombie apocalypse.” Last month, he was sentenced to life in detention after a trial at Exeter Crown Court, and an anonymity order that previously protected his identity has been lifted.
Huang, who was born in Malaysia to a wealthy family, joined Blundell’s in 2020. During the trial, he admitted to attacking the two students and the housemaster but claimed he had been sleepwalking. However, a jury rejected his claim, convicting him of three counts of attempted murder.
After the incident, his parents flew from Malaysia to the UK to support him during the trial. Prosecutor James Dawes KC said that Huang carried out the attacks in a “killing rage” after researching serial killers and methods of murder.
The jury heard that Huang had previously clashed with one of the victims, believing the younger boy had laughed at him in a science class, and there was also reported tension between them over a 15-year-old girl at the school. Moments before the attack, Huang reportedly listened to the song “Light It Up” by Robin Hustin, which the judge later suggested was his way of building up adrenaline to go through with the violence.
One victim made an impressive recovery, while the older student suffered permanent brain damage and may have been subjected to repeated blows as he tried to escape. The judge highlighted that Huang, who has autism, had grown increasingly isolated and had retreated into an online world filled with violent content. Huang reportedly researched numerous high-profile murder cases, including those of John Lennon, Sarah Everard, and soldier Lee Rigby.
Sentencing Huang, Mrs. Justice Cutts described him as posing a significant danger to the public and sentenced him to life detention, with a minimum term of 12 years. She noted that he had planned the attack, had purchased hammers specifically to use as weapons, and understood the fatal consequences of repeated blows to his victims.
In June of the previous year, Huang waited until the two boys were asleep in their shared boarding room and attacked them shortly before 1 a.m. The housemaster, Henry Roffe-Silvester, was awoken by noises and went to investigate, only to be assaulted as well. Another student dialed 999, thinking there was an intruder, as the injured teacher shouted for help.
Both boys sustained severe injuries, including skull fractures and internal damage. Mr. Roffe-Silvester received six blows to the head but has since made a full recovery. Both students are left with lasting physical and emotional effects.
The prosecution described Huang’s disturbing fixation with one of the boys and his intense interest in violence, hammers, and murder. One expert suggested Huang’s actions were consistent with sleepwalking, while another disputed this, arguing that intentional violence is uncommon in sleepwalking cases. Huang himself claimed he kept hammers by his bed to defend against a “zombie apocalypse.”
Huang expressed remorse during the trial, apologizing to his victims. His defense lawyer, Kerim Fuad KC, portrayed the case as tragic and argued that Huang had been under extreme stress from academic and personal pressures, combined with an unhealthy obsession with violent media. He also revealed that Huang had been blackmailed in a case of online “sextortion,” fearing his private photos would be leaked unless he paid money.
Following the sentencing, Detective Inspector Dave Egan described the assaults as “brutal and savage,” expressing confidence that Huang’s intent was to kill. The families of the two injured boys thanked those involved in their sons’ recoveries, expressing hopes for their future healing.
Blundell’s School headmaster Bart Wielenga addressed the incident with students and staff, encouraging an open and honest dialogue. He emphasized that the school community should not feel ashamed, viewing the tragedy as part of their collective experience. In a message to parents, Wielenga commended the resilience and grace shown by the students and assured them of the school’s continued support.
Man on Trial for Allegedly Raping 12-Year-Old Daughter in Germany
A 40-year-old Eritrean man is facing trial in Germany for allegedly raping his 12-year-old daughter while they resided together in a refugee shelter last year.
The disturbing incident came to light in July 2023 when the girl was hospitalized for abdominal pain and discovered to be five months pregnant. DNA evidence implicated the father, who initially denied any involvement but later expressed remorse, claiming to be too intoxicated to remember the event.
The girl, now 13, reportedly suffered severe trauma and is undergoing therapy. The pregnancy was terminated.
This shocking case follows another disturbing incident in Majorca, where a 10-year-old girl was allegedly impregnated by her stepfather.
The child’s mother reported the stepfather to the police after discovering the pregnancy and physical injuries.
Both cases highlight the urgent need to address sexual abuse, particularly within vulnerable communities.
