Microsoft Redesigns Quick Settings Volume Mixer in Latest Windows 11 Insider Preview.

For years, Windows users have faced a hassle when it comes to switching between audio outputs and managing sound levels. While Microsoft has attempted to improve the experience over time, such as simplifying how Bluetooth devices are categorized in Windows 10 in 2021, users still find it difficult to adjust audio levels on a per-app basis using the Quick Setting panel in Windows 11.
Fortunately, Microsoft has finally addressed this minor annoyance with the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview. The redesigned Quick Settings volume mixer not only allows users to switch between audio devices but also enables spatial sound and allows them to adjust volume output on a per-app basis, which was not possible with the previous design. Additionally, Microsoft has included a dedicated shortcut for faster access to the feature. To open the volume mixer, users can press the Windows, Ctrl, and V keys simultaneously.
According to Microsoft, the redesigned interface offers more control with fewer clicks, allowing users to tailor their audio experience and better manage their favorite apps. The new volume mixer has drawn comparisons to the popular EarTrumpet mod.
While there is no official word on when regular users can expect the latest Windows Insider features, users hope the new volume mixer will be available to the general public soon.
