Leaked Performance Benchmark Reveals Impressive Results for AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS Laptop CPU.
A leaked Cinebench 23 benchmark has shed light on the performance of AMD’s upcoming laptop CPU, the Ryzen 7 7840HS. The benchmark showed a score of 16,854 points, with the single-core score obscured. The user who posted the screenshot explained that the discrepancy in clock speed may have affected the single-core score, but estimated it to be around 1,800 points if the CPU hits its advertised frequencies.
Compared to the Ryzen 6900HX and 6900HS, the 7840HS demonstrates better multi-core performance, even keeping pace with the desktop CPU Ryzen 5 7600X. The Ryzen 7 7840HS boasts 8 CPU cores with a base clock of 3.8GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.1GHz, as well as a TDP ranging from 35W to 54W. It also features support for PCIe 4.0 and DDR5 RAM up to 5600Hz, and an integrated RDNA3-based Radeon 780M GPU with 12 graphics cores and a base frequency of 2900 MHz.
